"Havre de paix",
22 carats gold decoration on a reversible decorative folding screen with panoramic wallpaper & hematite-finish steel structure.
This collaboration with Ananbo, panoramic wallpaper house and Clément Ledoux metal designer was présented during the exhibition “ Voyage Onirique - Lucie Monin “ at Royal Monceau Palace.
Lucie Monin has designed a reversible decorative screen that lends itself to a wide range of interpretations. A unique and imposing work (240cm x 170cm), where her drawings engraved in gold come to life, in a poetic, bucolic and dreamlike dimension that evokes dreams and escapism. The idea behind the work was to create a moment of pause, allowing us to discover new details with each stroke of light. Each new reading gives rise to a new perception…
Thanks to the light and the different angles under which we place ourselves, the decor lives, many details appear, leaving room for travel. Thus, the eye plunges through new scenes of life ... Children play cards or balloons, small greedy monkeys hang from the branches to try to catch a beautiful bunch of grapes, pointillist patterns emerge from the flowers, a character embarks on a journey towards ruins... is it a mirage?
This deco required 60 hours of work.
